A remodel on the shores of Lake Washington. The original lakefront home had little appeal from either the street or from Lake Washington. We added an upper floor with a striking dormer, creating a distinctive composition from the water.

The remodel facilitates the beach functions of the house with a generous mudroom and main stair, and a direct connection from the kitchen and living room to the deck. The house was transformed from a small, dowdy residence into a gracious, spacious family home equipped for entertaining and comfort, with the main rooms of the house oriented towards the lake.
