The last time we checked in on this Vashon Island remodel, the restored windows had not yet been installed, and the walls were down to the studs. Now, the exterior stucco patches and repairs have been completed, and most remaining work is on the house’s interior. The floors are getting patched, and the little round sunroom is being restored.
Contractor David Hall (of Guild Hall Construction) calls attention to the eave construction and waterproofing as we prepare to re-enclose the sun room.
The new fir floor in the office room will match the existing floor in the bedroom. The flooring is a mix of material salvaged from the job site and other salvaged materials. Once the boards are sanded and finished they’ll blend in with the remaining original floors.
Stucco repairs and patches are complete and most of the restored windows have been re-installed. A new paint job will complete the exterior renovations.
