FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: ARCHITECTURE

What We Do Best

Studio TJP pairs deep knowledge of architectural history with mastery of modern building methods and materials to create sustainable, lasting work. We help clients leverage historic insight and forward-looking innovation to produce thoughtful, site responsive designs that honor the environment.

We’re your team: a principal architect leads your project supported by our dedicated design staff.

Visualing Your Design — Craft Meets Technology

We take projects from initial hand drawn sketches to 3D models, quickly showing alternative layouts and design adjustments. Our 3-D modeling method shortens the time between initial design to construction documentation and project completion.

We guide projects from inception to completion, collaborating with clients, contractors, consultants, craftspeople, and artisans to create memorable residential and commercial buildings.

Fees — Clear, Predictable, Client-focused

We base fees on your project’s scope and the expertise needed to deliver it—so you get the right level of service without surprises.

  • New home: typically, 8–12% of construction cost

  • Home remodel: typically, 10–15% of construction cost

  • Common fee formats: percentage of construction cost or time-and materials based on a transparent fee estimate

  • If project decisions change the scope, we’ll discuss and agree on any fee adjustments
