BLUE RIDGE

- quality, craft -
A remodel & addition to a classic Tudor home

This remodel of a 1936 Shingle-style Tudor home in the Blue Ridge neighborhood focused on improving natural light, spaciousness, maximizing views, and improving the inside-outside connection. We enclosed an 84-square-foot porch with full-height windows and French doors connecting the now-expanded living room to an existing deck. A new covered porch at the side entry incorporates wooden latticework referencing original details of the front entry. In the main suite we raised the ceiling, and added a prow window with window seat, windows, offering a peekaboo view of Puget Sound. New closets flank the entry to the en suite bath, which includes carerra marble at the vanity, shower walls, and floors with a herringbone tile inset.
