A deep grounding in architectural history informs our use of modern design, building methods, and materials. Studio TJP’s Evolution
In 2018, the firm’s founders, Larry and Lani Johnson, transitioned ownership to their long‑time leadership team—Howard Miller, Steve Campbell, and Ellen Mirro. The practice was renamed Studio TJP to honor its past while embracing a new chapter.
Larry E. Johnson founded The Johnson Partnership in 1979 and led the firm for four decades, shaping its focus on architectural history, design, planning, and preservation. Lani Johnson joined in 1981 as a Founding Planner and expanded the firm’s planning expertise. Their legacy continues to guide the work we do for our clients.
