Postcards from Near & Far

Vacations are, ideally, a time to relax and regenerate.

While vacationing in Florida recently, Howard painted several postcard-sized watercolors. These not only commemorate quiet moments from the trip (including this green heron), but also help him relax and shift into “vacation mode.” And friends seem to enjoy receiving them!

Meanwhile, Ellen and her family are enjoying a “staycation” at their farm, shown here after this week’s snowfall. The quiet, solitude, and proximity to nature are endlessly restorative.
