Recent progress on a remodel and addition to a single-family home on the northern end of Vashon Island. The framing is complete, the systems have been installed, and the contractor anticipates being ready to insulate in the next two weeks. The existing windows that are being kept (most of them) are being re-conditioned and returned to full functionality. The new windows are under construction and will be delivered in the next couple weeks.
Among the new windows are those in the kitchen. The above image shows how much light they will bring into the room.
The sashes are currently being painted, suspended from the ceiling.
The exterior has been painted and is ready for the windows to be re-installed. The stucco patches are in progress.
