This week we paid a (masked!) site visit to one of our ongoing architecture projects, a complex multi-level, energy efficient remodel and addition near Interlaken Park. Windows are being installed and house wrap applied in preparation for siding installation. Once these steps are finished, the house will have achieved “dry in” status, meaning that that the exterior is sufficiently completed that interior work can begin, sheltered from the elements.
The house will have all new siding.
A test panel helps the client choose the right siding and color.
The living room walls and window seat will be trimmed with vertical-grain fir.
The heating system is what’s known as a mini-split, which includes an intake for fresh air and a mechanism for stale air and heat recovery.
